What do you think is the best vintage Johnson / Evinrude 1950's, under 10hp?
as far as geting parts and help on a boat {} Realabilaty. im thinking of 3HP or perhaps 5 .5 hp.what do you think?
They were all knuckle busters and difficult to resolve. Pumpkins have been adjusted with three settings. The calendar accelerator and the main jet and idle adjustment. The main one was "Navel" in the middle of the car and adjusted over folded down out of the hood. The idle speed is adjusted with a thumb wheel on the top right of the entrance once they were adjusted right, you can run them with a small turn of the wheel. They sounded really good and and always attracted a crowd, as they would "Phister, Phister" the navel when run just a little thin. You can get the two engines that you hardly notice any change in power. They must be cheap enough for ancient as they have done a zillion of them over the years with hardly a change. Most are missing lower cover that you have had time to find the main jet when it was introduced. Do not buy an antique for reliability. This is sixty years. If you want to see a run-rent "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. The girl runs a Bodaga across the bay to deliver the love birds.
